For 50 years Santa for the Very Poor (SVP) has been inviting friends to help
us bring the spirit of the holidays to Chicagoans who would feel precious
little of it without us. We're a unique grass-roots non-profit organization that works with both religious organizations and social agencies to help make the holidays more meaningful.
We purchase and deliver holiday bundles to thousands of our very poor neighbors including single parent families and the elderly. Every penny donated goes straight to the purchasing of toys, knit goods and food.
